Bioscientifica Partners with GetFTR

The partnership will increase the visibility of Bioscientifica’s journal content across research discovery platforms and tools, helping researchers and clinicians connect more easily with trusted full text.

Bioscientifica, a not-for-profit publisher working within the biomedical research community, has partnered with GetFTR (Get Full Text Research) to make its journal content more accessible through the tools researchers use to discover and explore scholarly literature.

Owned by the Society for Endocrinology, Bioscientifica works with learned societies and the wider scientific community to publish high-quality research across endocrinology and related biomedical disciplines. Its portfolio includes journals such as Journal of Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer and Endocrine Connections.

As researchers increasingly discover content through a wide range of platforms, making it easy to identify and access the trusted full text is vital. Through GetFTR, researchers will now see clear full text indicators and smart links to Bioscientifica’s content across an expanding network of research and discovery tools, including Scopus, Scite, Web of Science and CABI Digital Library, as well as across the web through GetFTR’s free Browser Extension.

These indicators show whether the trusted version of record is available through an institutional subscription, open access or free-to-read content, helping researchers navigate directly to the full text without unnecessary barriers or dead ends.

Daniel Keirs, Director of Publishing & Scientific Affairs at Bioscientifica, said:

“As a society publisher, we’re committed to ensuring that the research we publish is as discoverable, accessible and useful as possible to the scientific and clinical communities we serve. Researchers increasingly navigate the literature through a range of discovery tools and platforms, so it’s important that they can quickly identify available routes to the authoritative version of record. By partnering with GetFTR, we’re helping to create a smoother journey from discovery to full-text access, supporting both the visibility of our authors’ work and the integrity of the scholarly record.”

Heather Staines, Head of Business Development at GetFTR, added:

“GetFTR brings together publishers of different sizes, disciplines and publishing models, all working towards a more connected research experience. We’re delighted to welcome Bioscientifica, whose specialist biomedical journals are an important addition to GetFTR, helping us provide researchers with a clearer picture of the trusted content available to them across their selected discovery journey.”
