ASHA Journals Joins GetFTR to Improve Discovery and Access to Trusted Communication Sciences Research

The inclusion of the society publisher’s five peer-reviewed journals will help researchers and clinicians connect more easily to trusted full text wherever their discovery begins.

GetFTR (Get Full Text Research) is pleased to announce that ASHA Journals has joined its growing network of publishers working to connect research discovery directly to trusted full text.

Through this partnership, researchers and practitioners will find it easier to link to ASHA Journal content from an expanding network of research and discovery tools, including those directly integrated with GetFTR, such as Scopus, Scite, Web of Science and CABI Digital Library, as well as across the web via GetFTR’s freely available Browser Extension.

When researchers and practitioners encounter relevant content on their discovery journey, GetFTR indicators clearly signal access to the trusted version of record, whether it is available through subscription, open access, or free-to-read content. This helps reduce friction, remove dead ends, and support faster access to trusted content.

ASHA Journals publishes five peer-reviewed journals in communication sciences and disorders (CSD), audiology, and speech-language pathology. The journals aim to disseminate research findings, theoretical advances, and clinical knowledge, provide a forum for critical review and analysis, and advance knowledge translation across the field.

Michael Cannon, Senior Director, Serial Publications and Editorial Services, ASHA said

“ASHA Journals is committed to advancing research and clinical practice in communication sciences and disorders. Joining GetFTR supports that commitment by helping researchers, clinicians, and students reach trusted content more quickly and easily, wherever they begin their search. We are pleased to be part of an initiative that improves the research journey and expands access to high-quality evidence.”

Dianne Benham, Product Director at GetFTR, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome ASHA Journals to GetFTR. Their focus on disseminating research and supporting their community makes them a strong addition to our growing community of publishers. Together, we can help ensure that researchers and professionals are guided easily from discovery to trusted full text.”
