Librarians

As a librarian at a university or research institute, GetFTR has the potential to support you in your role. It has been developed to address well-known researcher fatigue, frustration and confusion when searching for research, integrating with multiple discovery tools to speed up discovery and access to published research across all participating publisher platforms.

GetFTR checks entitlements directly with the publisher at DOI level which helps your users access the content you have made available to them. It also exposes open content in hybrid journals as checks carried at DOI level.

New: GetFTR Browser Extension

The GetFTR browser extension also supports your patrons, directly from a number of popular discovery resources including Google Scholar, PubMed, Web of Science, Lens and EBSCO Discovery Service. since the launch of the Beta in early 2023, the number of entitlement checks have been increasing month on month.

We are encouraging librarians to download the extension to see the benefits for themselves. To ensure patrons are making use of their institution subscriptions please ask them to install the GetFTR browser extension and let them know it will provide direct links to the published content they are entitled to read, directly from popular discovery tools.
